⚠️ Warning:

It is always the user’s responsibility to ensure the passenger and/or cargo loaded on the Lectric XPedition do not interfere or impact the user’s ability to safely operate the Lectric XPedition.

You MUST hold onto the Lectric XPedition whenever loading cargo and/or a passenger. The kickstand is not designed to be used for loading cargo. Do not assume the bike is stable and balanced when using the kickstand. Always hold onto the bike when cargo is being loaded, in place, or attached to the bike.

**A passenger incapable of riding a bike on their own should not ride as a passenger. Use your best judgment as a parent or guardian to keep a child or an adult passenger and the rider safe.

Running Board Installation

Do you want to put a little extra pep in your XPedition passenger's step? These Running Boards will keep your passenger's feet clear from the ground, and ready for adventure!

 

Installing the Running Boards to the XPedition Frame:

1. Grab one of the running boards and choose a side to install first; driveside or non-driveside. Then locate the mounting tubes on the bike.
2. To make installation easier, you can use a 4mm Allen key to loosen 2 verticle bolts on the running board platform so that one arm has a little bit of play.
3. Align the running board arms to the mounting tubes on the bike frame, making sure the push pins are facing down.
4. Push the push pins into the arms until flush and then slide the arms into the mounting tubes until an audible click is produced. You should be able to see the push pin protruding on the bottom side of the mounting tubes.
5. To eliminate rattling, take the arm with the 2 loose bolts and push the top of the arm towards the other arm so that it sits at a slight angle. Then use the 4mm Allen key to retighten the 2 verticle bolts.
6. Repeat this process on the other side of the bike with the other Running Board.
7. Perform a pull test on both of the Running Boards to ensure they are secure.

Be sure to never exceed the 40lb weight limit of each board.

 

Removing the Running Boards from the XPedition Frame:

1. Begin by using a 4mm Allen key to loosen 2 verticle bolts but do not remove them. This will help give the arms a little bit of play so that they are easily removed.
2. Ensure both arms are centered and straight in the frame mounting tubes. If they are not straight, grab the outside of the arm and lightly push outward until centered.
3. Then, use your finger to press the push pin into the arm until flush, while simultaneously pulling the arms out of the frame.
4. Repeat this process on the other side of the bike with the other Running Board.
